Snape Pub

HA! I've finally made it to the Snape Pub on a Friday! And in fact, this Friday I've managed to get there before anyone else (with the possible exception of [livejournal.com profile] aviss ), so it was up to me to find and keep us a table. I did, but the number of t00bs showing up exceeded my wildest expectations, so we've ended up with people sitting on the table rather than at it. Then again, that turned out to be useful when we got a few pitchers of deadly sins and straws with which to drink them, because extremely close physical proximity allowed up to 4 people to imbibe at the same time :-) Also, getting handcuffed to a person of your choice was much easier when everyone was within arm's reach of anyone else ;-)

Speaking of handcuffs, [livejournal.com profile] son_of_darkness spent most of the evening (and night) in bondage, which inspired [livejournal.com profile] lizardspots to create beautiful artwork. Too bad she wasn't there to record for posterity teh hotness of [livejournal.com profile] son_of_darkness crawling into tied down [livejournal.com profile] petulans's lap and snogging him senseless...

But I'm getting ahead of myself. So, pub. It really is quite cool, and the bookcase bathrooms are a thing to behold, but there are far too many chattering people inside for it to really have a Snape feeling to it. Still, the seven deadly sins drinks are inspired, so it's definitely a place I'd recommend.

Once the pitchers were empty of even left-over ice-cubes, the party moved to [livejournal.com profile] lazy_daze and [livejournal.com profile] baleheadbabe's apartment. Unfortunately we've lost [livejournal.com profile] purplethings, [livejournal.com profile] aviss, [livejournal.com profile] malachan, [livejournal.com profile] elanor_isolda and [livejournal.com profile] progelatinous by that time, but then we got some reinforcements in the form of [livejournal.com profile] joosetta, who swam over from her flat, which had been unexpectedly redecorated to host the Black Lake. She produced the best piece of music ever and it's really unfair that instead of "Do you know who I am? Tibetan. Turnip." what stuck in my head for the entire Saturday was "We really like the moon!" That song is evil, people!

Anyway, my memories of most of the night are somewhat hazy, though I do remember marvelling at [livejournal.com profile] lazy_daze and [livejournal.com profile] baleheadbabe's chairs, which keep falling off the floor, as well as watching scary bouncy ninja kittens. There were also fan videos, and I was trying to find the one about Harry going back in time to protect Draco from Dementors, but for some strange reason I couldn't. If anyone still feels like checking out what amazing things a cool idea paired with video editing skills can produce, go watch "Saving Draco".

At about 7 in the morning [livejournal.com profile] shabzilla and I finally gave up waiting for the sunrise and decided to risk getting to our respective homes while it was still dark. We've parted ways at the Euston station, where I had to change trains, but apparently by then it was already safe as none of us fell victim to the Monkey Man ;-)

I finally reached my flat at around 10, and promptly got into bed, which I haven't left for the rest of the day. It's quite nice to spend an entire day in bed, BTW, drifting in and out of sleep, watching some TV (TV and DVD remotes were the only things within my reach, so I settled for "The West Wing" rather than trying to crawl close enough to the computer to turn it on). I highly recommend it if anyone has a free weekend :-)

I know! I'll always have the memories, but a piece of artwork would just make it so much more... tangible :-)

Talking about it is having a relatively "tangible" effect, at least over here!
