The Banlieue 13 Ultimatum trailer has finally been released and it is quite simply made of awesome. Not only does it include some absolutely amazing stunts (I did kinda like that in the first film everything was done for real, but I can deal. After all the sequel always has to be bigger and better, and besides, most of the stuff was still done for real.), but it's also choke-full of slashiness. One of the longest segments included, for example, is a scene when Damien and Leito banter with each other :-) And then there's this amazing moment when they are stuck together in something resembling a cupboard, and they execute this utterly adorable fist bump (captured here by [livejournal.com profile] entwashian):

Aww!

As if the trailer wasn't enough, the official site has been stuffed with loads of other goodies, including pictures, wallpapers, bios and videos. I get breathless each time I glance at my desktop now ;-)

And check out this promo pic:

What would you say, are they handcuffed to each other or just holding hands? ;-) Either way I'm really looking forward to that scene...

Cuffed or holding hands, either way there's zero air between them in that picture and that makes me ridiculously happy.

I'm really curious about the new scar on David's cheek. I wonder how and when he got it. Unless it's fake, in which case I wonder how and when Leito got it, and when Damien is going to kiss it better. ;D

Hee, I've been taking inventory of any new scars and tattoos as well ;-)

My guess is that the scar on David's face has to be real, because if they wanted to add a fake one it'd make more sense to put it over his eyebrow, so that it'd look like a left over from the first film. The same with the tattoo on his hand - there's no point in giving Leito more tattoos, unless the symbol is somehow deeply meaningful for the plot. And I have to say that I'm heart-broken the (as it turns out) animal tattoo on his left arm is not a pit bull...

As for how he got the scar, well, he claims he falls constantly while training, but then he's also perfected the art of not doing any lasting damage to himself even when he does fall, so maybe the scar's from something trivial like walking into a door when he had to get up early and couldn't quite get his eyes open in time...

And what's up with the bandage on his right forearm? It was pretty cool how in the first film you could tell in what order particular scenes were shot just by observing the progression of band-aids across David's arms, but to have his entire forearm bandaged is a first.

When it comes to film related questions, mine is: What exactly is the Midnight Hour Festival?
