All Saints' Day
Nov. 1st, 2006 09:10 pmIt's All Saints' Day today, and it's the second year in a row when I'm not spending most of the night wandering through a cementary lit by millions of candles and with all the graves covered in flowers :sigh: It sucks to spend your second favourite holiday in a country where no one's ever heard of it.
In consolation I've rented and watched "Sugar" tonight - an independend Canadian film about an 18-year-old boy who fell in love with a hustler. And the hustler was played by Brendan Fehr! It's so vindicating to see one of the actors about whose characters you're been reading and writing slash actually snog (and more :glee:) a guy on screen ;-) And as an added bonus, there were a bunch of trailers for other gay films on the DVD, including "Sommerstrum" that
lazy_daze recommended some time ago. What really caught my eye, though, was "Le Clan", because one of the actors looked a lot like I imagine Blaise Zabini to look, even if his skin was too light for my taste. I've got to get my hands on a copy.
In other news, why are theatre tickets so expensive? Or more importantly, why am I so broke... :sigh:
