computer games
Oct. 14th, 2006 07:01 pmI've just spent most of the day playing a computer game. Which I suppose isn't very odd, I am after all addicted to the sims, and I do love the Harry Potter games. What was special about today, however, was that the game I was playing is the kind in which you go around killing things. I've never liked those, but this one is pretty awesome. It's "Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay". I only bought it because it was cheap and because Vin Diesel did the VO, but to my great surprise I'm really loving it. It's so unbelievably satisfying to kill people with one blow ;-) And since you play from Riddick's POV, it's the next best thing to being Vin Diesel for a few hours ;-) Vin's voice is totally selling the illusion, too, and as a bonus that low rumble makes my spine vibrate in the most wonderful way, so I'm enjoying myself far more than the designers of the game probably intended ;-) Too bad that when Riddick interacts with Johns they can only talk or fight, because anyone who's ever seen "Pitch Black" knows that they should be fucking, a lot ;-)
Hmm, I wonder if in the "Constantine" game you get to have illicit interactions between Keanu's and Gavin Rossdale's characters? Because if you don't, it goes against the actual film canon. Sadly, there's not much slash in the "Path of Neo" :sigh:
