There was a re-run of "The Scars" yesterday and this time the freeview was behaving itself so I managed to see it. For the record, unless Jason Isaacs is a deeply closeted violent sadist, he's the best actor ever, because he was just chilling :jawdrop: The delighted way with which he talked about the violence, the pain and guilt when he talked about the victims, the hurt when he described how he very nearly got raped in prison - he was just stunning. Guh. The rape particularly blew me away - he was so violent, but also hurt, and then the horror when he talked about what he'd done to the would-be rapist... I had no idea a person could show so many completely contrary emotions at the same time!
And yet, in spite of the horrid subject and amazing acting, what did I do? Squealed, squealed I tell you, the moment Jason said: "He wanted me, you know. He'd have me." :headdesk: When I was watching "Elephant" the naked snog under the shower of the two shooters was also what stuck with me most. Just how sociopathic can my love for slash make me?!
