It is a great film for the story it's trying to tell, isn't it? And if you've found half as slashy as I have, I'm pleased to report that AO3 has a handful of stories already ;-)
I have to say it's fun how in this fandom you have this dual canon of film versus reality, and various authors pick and choose which bits they want to use for each particular story :-)
