Thor's appreciation day

I figure it's high time to dedicate a post to what is probably Thor's most defining feature - the fact that he's a total bad-ass. It is glorious to watch him in action, regardless of whether he's a superpowered one-man army taking on Jotunheim, or a mere mortal taking on SHIELD. Best parts of The Avengers for me were his fights with Iron Man and the Hulk (he headbutted Iron Man! he blocked Hulk smash! how cool is that?!), and I was greatly disappointed we did not get to see him take down that squadron on Sixth, because after the moves he pulled on Jotunheim I really wanted the chance to admire him in a melee with multiple opponents again.

Just look at this and don't tell me you're not getting all tingly:





You have to love the look of joy on his face at the thought of finally getting the chance to prove himself against the Jotuns:

Walking out of a tornado after dispatching the destroyer in less than two minutes:



Hell yeah!

Hee, yeah, his armour is kinda weird like that in the Avengers :-)
