I'm from the arrrrr group. Yep, your observations are correct, in my eyes anyway. So many people write angsty fan fic. Which I don't mind if it's a TV show or movie that fits it. PotC just doesn't suit that genre though. Yes, it's quite OOC to have a PotC angst fic.
