fan convention!

I just got back from the first international B13 fan summit! The three of us had a lot of fun :-)

But seriously, it was amazing to meet left_sider and _backpages_ in person! I finally had someone to talk to about B13U, or how Damien should dress up as Leito for one of his undercover assignements, or how we can make Sonya die, and most of all how Damien and Leito are completely in love with each other. I also showed them the best excerpts from David's book, so that they too could giggle at David's assertion that it was his father who was charismatic and he's not like him at all; as well as read about how jumping from rooftop to rooftop is exactly like picking up a glass from a table - the only way you can fuck it up is when you think about something else :-)

I hope _backpages_ and left_sider will enjoy the rest of their stay, and will run into both David and Cyril when they're in Paris!

We had such a good time with you! Thank you for enabling our fangirling! ;)

Sadly we did not meet David or Cyril while in Paris, but we did embarrass ourselves by bursting into laughter whenever we spotted police officers and taking random photos of #36. No doubt the locals and other tourists wondered what the hell was wrong with us!

I'm still trying to catch up but you should know that the fan summit did get the creative juices flowing again. Stay tuned...

We had a fantastic time fangirling with you, and thanks for sharing David's book so we could more fully appreciate his utter insanity! ;-)

I feel bad for not writing back sooner; we had a family situation that's eaten up a lot of time I would have preferred to spend posting amusing pics of #36 and finishing the presents I started writing on the plane home. I'll get the first one up in a few minutes for you, though. :-)
