HAPPY BIRTHDAY [livejournal.com profile] naughtyhouseelf!

I saw OotP yesterday with a bunch of fandomers, which was lovely because I had company when I would roar with laughter at the filthier lines and scenes. Of which there were plenty - Snape talking about 'penetrating' Harry (or his mind, whatever) and ordering him to prepare himself; Fred and George convincing Nigel that after a while it doesn't hurt any more; Sirius seeing Harry off at Kings Cross wearing just a bathrobe; Umbridge telling Harry how deep inside he knows he deserves to be punished... OotP is definitely a pervert's paradise ;-)

Overall, I enjoyed the film far more than I expected, probably because I already knew not to hold my breath for a Draco scene (Draco had two lines in the entire film; as Kye pointed out, Nigel got more screentime than Draco; yes, the character that's not even in the books) and so I just settled to see what would be there. Incidentally, I'm beginning to consider the lack of Draco as a good thing - after all it means there were that fewer chances to turn him into a buffoon. I also loved how whenever Draco was there, he had Pansy at his side. They were sitting together in DADA, in Diviniation, in the Great Hall... Heh, each time there was Crabbe and/or Goyle shown running loose, I was imagining that it was because Draco and Pansy shacked up in some remote corner of the castle and Crabbe and Goyle were ordered not to intrude upon pain of death :-) Too bad that there wasn't a black, devastatingly sexy Slytherin boy that would trail after Draco and Pansy, and disappear when they did ;-) Draco/Pansy/Blaise FTW!

Lucius was amazing in that black leather outfit of his. The way he talked Harry into handing him the prophecy was as awesome as his scenes in CoS. Sadly, Draco was robbed of the chance to react to the news of his father's arrest, but then again, in the film canon Lucius wasn't exactly caught, was he :snort:

In non OotP-related news, [livejournal.com profile] hd_holidays posted the reveal, and although I still have around 20 tabs with unread fics opened, I already started the friending frenzy of the authors of the stories I did manage to read and liked :pats her swelling friends' list:
