OotP

Apparently Draco's hardly in OotP. I suppose at the rate they're going they'll cut him out completely from HBP. Especially since the screenwriter said at the OotP premiere that the next film is going to be very light-hearted and entertaining compared to this one :seething hatred: On the other hand, considering how Draco's scenes are always re-written into slapstick comedy, maybe he will be there in HBP after all - I can just see the hilarious way he will slip and fall, knocking himself out, as he'll be trying to fearfully scurry away from Harry in the bathroom scene. Or how he'll struggle to get his wand out in the tower, nearly tearing his robes (or rather suit), until Snape will bust in. :more seething hatred:

In more uplifting news, HAPPY BIRTHDAY [livejournal.com profile] furiosity!

Thank you so much! ♥

...but also. HBP, light-hearted and entertaining? o________O

I know, right? Clearly the screenwriter is a useless hack. Why they let him butcher the books so much, I'll never understand.

Też przeczytałam kilka recenzji i mnie oczywiście najbardziej boli mała ilośc Snape'a, brak konfrontacji Snape/Sirius i ogromne skrócenie sceny Snape's Worst Memory. *sigh* Ale podobno Lucius wygląda super hot w skórze. Zawsze to jakaś pociecha. :)

No owszem, jest to pociecha, az do chwili, kiedy Lucius upusci przepowiednie...

No ale nic, obejrzalam wczoraj pierwsze dwa odcinki Life on Mars i teraz nawet glupi HP film nie jest w stanie za bardzo zepsuc mi humoru. I love John Simm so so much :-)

Draco has one single encounter with Harry near the beginning of OOtP. And for the rest of the film, he's reduced to a sneering presence in the background. :( And yes, they do play him for a buffoon. :(

Now how can HBP, the darkest book in the series so far, be light-hearted and entertaining? I don't get it. *shares your hatred*

Eek, that's even worse than I thought. I knew that the confrontation with Harry about Lucius's arrest wouldn't be in, but did they at least give Draco any other chance to react to the news?

The screenwriter needs to DIE as far as I'm concerned. Painfully.

Unfortunately, Draco has no other scenes, really, other than standing behind Umbridge and a glimpse of his head in the back of a few classes.

But Lucius gets several very good scenes. Those won't disappoint you!

Oh yeah, I finally saw the film yesterday, and enjoyed it quite a bit in spite of the scarcity of Draco. And you're right, Lucius was amazing :-)
