Aug. 4th, 2010 08:50 pmI haven't posted properly in forever, so here's a bunch of updates in no particular order:
- I won a cozy blanket today in a raffle during our company's barbecue. It's beautiful - cherry red, soft, warm, and it has sleeves! What's even better, I kept telling people I wanted to win the blanket the moment the available prizes were announced, so once I did everyone started sending me funny looks :-)
- They started showing Better Off Ted on the UK telly and I'm loving it so far. Well, ok, the main romantic plot is kinda blah, but everything else is quite brilliant. There was a scene in yesterday's episode that made me laugh so hard I couldn't breathe ("The room gets dark when you leave." "Aww, how can I stay mad at you when you say things like that.") and I'm still giggling while typing it :-)

banlieue_13 that during the event in Moscow last weekend David was obliging enough to autograph a few guys' trousers "along or across the thigh". Isn't he just the best famous person ever?! I do hope someone managed to capture how he was giving those autographs though, because seriously? LOL!
- Going back to TV, I'm watching Identity for Aidan Gillen, and I have to say most of the plots are pretty fascinating. Also, did I mention there's Aidan Gillen? Playing the main character? With the second season of Sons of Anarchy having just finished over here, it's almost like Queer As Folk all over again ;-)
- And since I'm on the subject of English actors that I love, I've read in TV Guide that BBC1 is developing a six-part series Case Histories that stars Jason Isaacs and will air next year. Wooh! Now, if only John Simm got back on my TV screen I'd be all set...
- I got into Spartacus recently. Where's all the Spartacus/Varro fic, though?
- Another promising fandom is Inception, although what I'm really hoping for is that Tom Hardy's current popularity will make people check out his other roles and I will finally get some One Two/Handsome Bob stories from Rock'n'Rolla...
- They've announced the release of Prince of Persia on DVD and bluray in September. There aren't going to be too many special features, just "Making of" (no word yet on the length), one deleted scene, and (the most promising) over 40 mini-segments about particular scenes available on bluray. That's according to the English-language release news. In French there are supposed to be 66 including "le défi à la gravité" and "la légende du Parkour". I guess I'll be ordering from amazon.fr, then...
