Things I've learnt from my trip to Paris:

- 18-screen cinemas are harder to locate than you'd think.
- Google maps LIE.
- My French pronunciation is so horrible French people give up on me and answer in English when asked for directions.
- Regardless of what everyone says you will not necessarily like B13U if you liked B13.
- Even though it's been 17 years since I've last been to Paris, my impression of it hasn't changed. I think that is in fact the only thing my current and my 12-year-old self agree on. Amazing.
- B13U is a huge box office success - of the three screenings I planned to see I only managed to get tickets for two, and even that was because I was lucky enough to get to the ticket machine relatively early.
- There were maybe ten females in the audience; and the viewers' average age was late teens. Way to reach an intended demographic.
- Promo pictures lie - at least a third of the scenes depicted were not actually in the film.
- I really need to see a version of B13U that I can fully understand, because evidently the dialogues are hilarious.

Things I've learnt today:
- Crack really is good for everything! Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] left_sider I am not only quite cheerful today, but also being assaulted by an army of plot bunnies, both things I had hardly expected yesterday evening.
