Home sweet home
Jun. 1st, 2008 06:04 pmWhee, what a holiday! How come I've never been to a spa before? It's fun! I was bathing in sulphur, freezing myself in -140 degrees centigrade for 3 minutes at a time, had warm mud smeared all over me and enjoyed various kinds of massages. We've already decided with my mom that we're going again in a year and a half.
Unfortunately the internet connection (my mom's mobile one) was so slow it was nearly non-existent, so I'm behind on LJ and newer TV eps. I did, however, finally have the time to watch the fifth season of The Wire. And I've noticed that I have finally stopped thinking 'Stuart!' when Aidan Gillen was on the screen. Although that could be because I haven't seen Queer as Folk in forever.
And speaking of watching stuff, I got to see Testosteron. Hee! I've heard it was good but I was still surprised by how much I enjoyed it. And not just because it has Borys Szyc, Piotr Adamczyk and Maciej Stuhr all in one film (though yes, that was part of the appeal).
As usual when going to Poland for holidays I brought back loads and loads of stuff. Among other things I bought the special double-disc edition of KatyĆ, as well as a single disc non-special edition of 11:14 (BTW, I shudder to think what Ben did to himself to get into the role of Eddie, what with the method acting and all :winces:), heaps of clothes, cosmetics, and the most beautiful bra in the world - it looks like a spider web. Of course now I'll have to go and date a Goth for it to be properly appreciated ;-)
Anyway, how have you guys been?
