busy week

maggie33 staying with me over the last week! We started her visit off with a bang by going to the Breakout Before Moonlight convention. It wasn’t as much fun as last year or two years ago, but it was still nice to meet Jason Dohring and Francis Capra again, and snuggle up to them for pictures ;-) Jason also gave us an unexpected bonus by bringing over the pilot of Body Politic that he’d shot and showing it to the convention attendees. I really liked it, so am bummed it hadn’t been picked up by the network.
I have to admit my squee factor wasn’t what it used to be this year, I guess I’m too smitten with B13 at the moment, but Jason, bless him, did kick it up a few notches when he said that although he doesn’t do parkour himself, he loves watching it on YouTube, and started gossiping about how there are going to be films made about it :-)
After the weekend was over I had to work, so I was only keepingmaggie33’s company in the evenings, but I did manage to get her hooked on Burn Notice. We also went to see Star Trek (pretty cool, but not enough for me to get fannish about it), and read and discussed The Demon’s Lexicon (as above). All in all, I've had a great week!
