this and that

I went to buy a TV guide for next week and was ecstatic to find one with John Simm on the cover. And then was even more ecstatic to read the caption saying: "The Life on Mars star goes back in time again in The Devil's Whore." Oh how I love British TV, I thought to myself, they have John Simm play the lead in something called The Devil's Whore?! I quickly leafed through to find the article about it and was further heartened to see this quote in bold: "It's a hell of a part, I've never played anything like this before." I'd say, I thought giggling. Alas my euphoria was short lived, because the very next sentence I read stated John's part is actually one of a bloodthirsty mercenary. Damn.

In other news, my furniture has arrived! Now I just have to get rid of a table that's taking up the space the new desk is supposed to fill, and then find the strength to assemble the whole lot. Once that's done, though, my flat will be beautiful!

And speaking of beautiful, episodes 6 and 7 of B13 Ultimatum filming diary have been uploaded. Ep 6 is finally showing some proper parkour stunts that only make me more desperate to see that film right this second. Also, Leito's hoodie has progressed from half unzipped, to undone all the way to the navel, to 'forget the hoodie; here, have a stick instead.' ;-) The last shot is of David twirling the stick contemplatively before jumping off a building. Hee! Like that will help him to keep his clothes on.

Episode 7 features a car chase through a marketplace that consists of a car, Leito on foot, and another car. Hmm, wonder if he's chasing the first car or escaping the second? There's also a shot of Cyril in his Damien-get-up with something that looks suspiciously like a certain hoodie tied around his waist. I'm just saying. And no, he didn't have one before in the scene they were shooting in ep 5.

Oh, BTW, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] kanld who has graciously translated episode 5 for me, I now know what all the culinary talk in the scene being shot was about. Apparently French slang terms for police are various dishes, so it was Leito mocking Damien mercilessly. Heh, I guess that means that when Damien was staring at Leito's lips he was wondering if maybe he could make Leito shut up by kissing him ;-)

And those behind the scenes interviews? It turns out David wasn't talking about himself, he was saying that Cyril was freaking out and didn't want to admit it even to himself, but David could tell because he knows him so well. Bless!
